St. Chrysostom’s CE Primary School Ethos and Beliefs
AES

The school, through its pupils, staff and governors, strives to be a positive force in the life of the local community.

Throughout the time children are with us, we encourage and respect independence, initiative and individuality; we work in close partnership with parents and are committed to being part of the community. We have high expectations and seek to develop in all our children a strong sense of responsibility for their own behaviour, and a respect for the rights of others.

Our school provides a caring and supportive environment in which our children can develop self confidence, self esteem and a love of learning. We want every child’s experience of our school to be both happy and successful.

St. Chrysostom’s Church of England Primary School is situated approximately a quarter of a mile from the cultural city of Manchester. We are a multicultural school which caters for children between the ages of three and eleven. The school has two playgrounds and a large school field with play equipment for the children. The hall is used for a wide range of activities including the daily act of worship, dance and drama. It is also used as our dining hall. The playground and large playing field offer excellent facilities for a wide range of sporting activities including football, netball, tag rugby, rounders and athletics.

The school consists of three Foundation Stage classes, two Key Stage 1 classes and 4 Key Stage 2 classes. Each classroom is equipped with an Interactive White Board and a computer to support pupils learning, these are connected to the school network and the internet. In addition to this, the school has its own ICT suite. The teachers at our school are well supported by a team of excellent teaching assistants and office staff. (See our staff page to see who teaches where.)
