At St. Chrysostom's we value the power of pupil voice. We actively involve our pupils in decision making, respecting and acting on their opinions and ideas.

School Council The fortnightly meetings of the School Council gives pupils to chance to have a say in school decisions. There are two representatives from each class. Recently there have been discussions about how they think children learn in class. Representatives are encouraged to raise School Council issues with their class mates so honest feedback can be obtained.

Peer Mediation

Peer mediation is a process where specially trained students help pupils resolve low-level conflicts by following a specific questioning process. This programme reduces incidences of bullying and increases confidence and respect. 

Peer Mediation teaches students to using their peers as mediators. Mediation opens up communication channels allowing the disagreeing students to discuss their problems and come to a resolution with the guidance of the mediators.

St. Chrysostom's children are fortunate to have so many activities available to them after school. Some of the clubs are seasonal and some run all year round. The staff at the school give up their own time to run the clubs.
